Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This policy explains how JAELE handles information you provide through our waitlist and related email communications.
Who we are
JAELE is the name used for this waitlist and its communications. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@jaele.com.au or write to 41 Acacia Ave, Prestons NSW 2170, Australia.
Information we handle
When you use the waitlist, we handle:
- your email address;
- your email and optional advertising choices, the wording version and time recorded, and whether you confirmed, unsubscribed or withdrew permission;
- messages you send us about your subscription or a privacy request; and
- technical and security information processed by our website and security providers, such as IP address, browser details, request time and fraud-prevention signals.
We do not ask for payment details or sensitive information to join. Please do not include sensitive information in a waitlist request.
How we use information
We use your details to manage and confirm your subscription, send the JAELE communications you choose to receive, remember your preferences, respond to enquiries, protect the service and meet applicable obligations. Email subscription covers ongoing JAELE announcements and marketing, including collection previews, product launches, offers and other JAELE news. We do not sell or rent the mailing list or let unrelated businesses market to you.
Your choices
Email marketing requires your separate affirmative choice on the signup form and confirmation of your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using a link in a JAELE email or by contacting us. We process requests as soon as practicable and no later than five working days after receipt.
The Meta advertising choice is separate and optional. If you choose it, JAELE may share your email address with Meta for matching to JAELE advertising audiences on Facebook and Instagram and for helping reach people with similar characteristics. You can join the email list without this permission. To withdraw Meta permission alone, contact us; your email subscription will remain. Unsubscribing from JAELE emails also withdraws Meta permission. We will stop future uploads and remove the address from JAELE audiences we control. You may still see JAELE ads through other targeting.
Service providers and overseas handling
Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery, database and security services. Brevo provides email delivery when that service is enabled. Meta receives an email address only if you separately choose the advertising permission described above. These providers may handle information outside Australia. Provider locations can include the United States and Europe, including France, Germany and Belgium, and may vary by service or subprocessor. We do not promise that information is stored only in Australia. We take reasonable steps required by applicable Australian privacy law before an overseas disclosure.
We do not use advertising pixels, website analytics or email open/click tracking for the waitlist. Security checks, including Cloudflare Turnstile when enabled, may process browser and network signals to help prevent abuse.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law:
- Unconfirmed signup requests are deleted after 30 days. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours.
- Confirmed details are kept while you remain subscribed, with an annual review of inactive contacts.
- After an unsubscribe or withdrawal, we keep only the minimum record needed to honour your choice and show when permission was given or withdrawn. This may include a protected one-way hash of an email address and consent timestamps; it is not used for marketing.
- Our retention policy limits technical and security logs to 30 days, unless a documented incident or legal obligation justifies longer retention.
- Backups we control are restricted and rotated within 90 days. Before restored information is used, we reapply deletion requests, unsubscribe choices and withdrawn permissions.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your privacy rights
You can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information by contacting info@jaele.com.au. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding, but you do not need an account or login to unsubscribe.
For a privacy concern, email us with a brief description and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge and investigate it, and aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, where the matter is within its jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our service or information-handling practices change. A change to this policy does not expand the marketing permission you have given us. We will seek a fresh choice where required.
